Painting Butterflies & Moths - 2 day course 

Consecutive Saturdays - 19th & 26th February 2022
10am - 4pm - £70 for both days 
Watercolour experienced needed. 
Choose from a huge selection of specimens supplied. Learn how to apply the finest detail and colour and create your own beautiful butterfly or moth painting. Look under a microscope to see the beauty of these insects close up. 

Flower studies and a little botany - 2 day course 
Consecutive Saturdays - 18th & 25th June 2022
10am - 4pm - £70 for both days 
Watercolour experienced needed. 
We will select plants from Brackenwood Garden centre (or bring your own) to study and create a floral page, that will include botany details with notes, in black fine liner, watercolour and graphite.  We will learn a bit about plant botany and use reference books and my detailed course notes to work with. You will have a chance to practice dissection (tools provided) and learn how to draw a dissected flower accurately. You will also have a chance to look at flower reproductive parts under a microscope. This is a great way to learn how to draw plants accurately and understand their anatomy! Borrow plants from Brackenwood or bring along your own.

Seaside Treasures - 2 day course 
Consecutive Saturdays - 3rd and 10th September 2022
10am- 4pm - £70 for both days 
Watercolour experienced needed. 
Learn how to paint some of beautiful seaside treasures; seaweed, shells, mermaid purses, starfish, barnacles, sea urchins etc. A little variety for those who have done shells with me before. This time it will be all things seaside! Bring along your favourite seaside treasures. Shells and some other seaside items will be available to borrow too.

Mushrooms and Fungi - 2 day course 
Saturday and Sunday - 1st and 2nd October 2022 
10am - 4pm - £70 for both days
Watercolour experienced needed. 

NEW! A two-day course running over a full weekend. We all love fungi! Learn how to paint a mushroom or fungi of your choice. Bring along your own specimens or choose from a selection supplied.
 

Woodland Treasures and Lichen - 2 day course 
Consecutive Saturdays - 19th and 26th November 2022 
10am - 4pm - £70 for both days
Watercolour experienced needed. 

NEW! Lichen is a fascinating subject to paint and there are many other woodland treasures too. Make a page of different autumnal pieces or concentrate on one beautiful subject, it's your choice. Bring along some specimens to paint! I will have some too.

Berry-tastic! - 1 day course 

Saturday 3rd December - 10am - 4pm
10am - 4pm - £35
Watercolour experienced needed. 
A one day course learning how to paint shine and bloom. Choose from raspberries, cherries, strawberries, blueberries, grapes - anything berry! Make a page of studies, a still life composition or just one beautifully painted fruit. I will also show you some useful colour theory tips to help you. Bring along some fruits!

Pay on the day with cash or make a bank transfer prior to the course date (ask me for bank details). No deposit required but please let me know if you cannot attend so I can offer up your place to someone else. Thank you.
