Pen and Ink with watercolour wash
February - Saturday 1st - Sunday 2nd
10am - 4pm £80
All levels welcome
Watercolour washes can look very effective over pen and ink and make wonderful sketchbook studies and artwork. Use fine liners or a dip pen with permanent ink, then loosely colour with watercolour washes. Select subjects from the garden centre or bring your own.

We will meet at a meadow (venue TBC) and study wildflowers in their natural habitat. We will make detailed sketches, take botany notes and make colour swatches. On day two, we will meet at Brackenwood and put together a watercolour illustration of a chosen wildflower study from the previous day. This will be a wonderful exercise of study in the field!

Bulbs and root systems are so interesting to paint. I will show you techniques to apply to such subjects.
