Online Mixing Watercolour Accurately Course

Colour mixing can be tricky. This course teaches you the skills to 'see' colour and mix watercolour more accurately for Botanical painting. Learn how to accurately mix through carefully designed exercises using a set of 16 very versatile pigments specifically chosen for the course, Winsor & Newton professional watercolours. You will receive extensive course notes in pdf format. Pre-recorded video tutorials are held in a hidden Facebook Student Group to help you. A useful course if you are considering entering the RHS exhibition
On this course, I will teach you about Botanical Illustration and the techniques to achieve a scientifically accurate painting. With the help of extensive course notes you will learn how to:
• Study a plant and draw it with accurate botany
• Make a sketch page with colour swatches, drawings, measurements and botany notes
• Research botanical plant keys and understand botany terms
• Study a plant and draw it with accurate botany​
• Make a scientifically accurate composition
• Use watercolour to achieve good colour rendering and values (colour mixing help is available, as needed)
You will work on a single plant subject from beginning to end with on hand tuition at every step. This course has no start or end dates as you will be studying a plant over the seasons. Zoom session guided tuition for plant study included.
